''Bas ab bahot ho gaya'' is an initiative by Population foundation of India in partnership with Farhan Akhtar's Men against Rape & Discrimination (MARD) campaign along with Feroz Abbaz Khan.
This initiative has been started to raise voice against domestic violence and injustice towards women.
Through this initiative,various films have been made to highlight related stories and film contests have been designed to involve participation of aspiring film makers,giving them an opportunity to voice their opinions on domestic voilence through films.
Bas ab bahot ho gaya has been supported by many well known celebrities and eminent personalities from across the globe.
The movement has been successful in conducting awareness sessions across schools and colleges in India to promote the eye opening campaign and it was a privilege for me to be invited as Guest speaker at Thakur college,along with Sr.Journalist Mrs.Neha Purav to talk on ways to tackle domestic violence.
We also spoke on actions taken under sec 354 of Indian Penal code and updated the students with various portals started by State government and Police to safeguard the rights of women.
